Writing Tip: How To Write The Middle of Your Book

Written By: Book Marketing International - Jul• 30•13

We have noticed that often authors focus so much on the beginning and the end of their novels that the middle often feels slow in comparison. Here are a few tips on how to keep the middle from dragging.

If you are using an outline, be careful not to take too long to tell any particular point. Make sure you write what is necessary for each part of your outline, and keep moving! Also view each chapter as its own scene with it’s own drama, especially in the middle of the book! Focusing chapter-by-chapter will keep it action driven and moving forward and stop your story lagging in the middle of the book.

Keep your book moving and focus on hooking the readers in each scene. If you’re interested, you’re audience will be also.
