5 Things to Remember When Titling Your Non-fiction Book

Written By: Book Marketing International - Jun• 12•15

1. Identify your target audience – Make them want to read your book because it’s written “for them”.
2. Be as specific as possible – Use numbers to provide structure to your information, to add credibility.
3. Make your title stand on its own – You want your book to stand out from the competition. Make your readers interested in what you have to say.
4. Choose the right verbs – The tone of voice will determine what the reader does with the book. Is it a call to action? Or an ongoing process?
5. Write for your market – Use words that your readers will understand. They should be able to tell what kind of a promise you’re making at a glance.
